Wizkid & Beyonce Start Shooting Music Video For ‘Brown Skin Girl’

R&B superstar Beyoncé Knowles and Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known by his stage name as Wizkid have started filming the music video to their single off “The Lion King: Brown Skin Girl.

The song, “Brown Skin Girl”, featuring Saint Jhn and Wizkid, marked Beyoncé’s second collaboration with daughter Blue Ivy Carter (7-year-old), who also sang in the track.

According to Dailymail.co.UK the US superstar, 38, chooses to shoot at several locations in Catford and Thamesmead.

The report adds that Beyoncé wanted this video to truly represent the essence of the song. She was keen to have normal people come out and tell their stories.

Her casting team called for all differentfamily structures to apply including blended, single parent, queer and adopted. The casting team reportedly looked for people ranging from six months old to 100 years old.

The album which features some well known artistes like Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambinoand her husband Jay-Z which was released on Friday July 19, 2019 seamlessly blends afrobeats, rap, R&B and pop in what the superstar calls her “love letter to Africa.”

The Gift also features some of Africa’s biggest artists, including Nigeria’s Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Burna Boy, Ghana’s Dancehall act, Shatta Wale and a host of others.
