Management of Kwaw released a statement in which they appreciated fans of Kwaw for showing support but also, monished the public that:

“We are therefore calling on all parties to desist from making further statements and embarking on campaigns such as #Freekwawkesse et al in a bid to support Kwaw Kesse. On the contrary, these activities along with the heightened media coverage only go to worsen the plight of Kwaw.

With the full confidence in we have in Ghana’s Legal System, the Police and Prison Service we passionately make this plea,” it said.

However, evergreen reggae artist, Black Prophet, still believes Kwaw Kesse should be freed. He seems not to have read the press release from Kwaw Kesse’s management. Black Prophet says Ghana government and police must:

“Freekwawkesse! Locking him up for smoking ganja? Please look for the killer of his manager, Chinese killing villagers for our gold, our oil, rights, passports and school documents has no value in the west, let build more free schools, protect Ghana and Africa from foreign interference, etc for a Better Ghana and Africa. Blessings.”
