1 student, 2 bread – SHS Prefect aspirant promises students despite food crisis in schools

A Ghanaian high school student running for Dinning Hall prefect has taken a leaf out of the book of politicians by making a gargantuan promise despite knowing very well that he can’t fulfil it.

While spelling out why he’s the most qualified amongst his competitors, the young man was seen reading out his manifesto to the other students of Ahmadiyya Secondary School in a video shared on the internet.

The student said he’ll provide ‘1 student 2 bread’ to every one student amidst the food shortage that has hit several senior high schools across the country.

Recall that recently, senior High School students were notified days ago that they will be responsible for their feeding as food shortage hit several schools across the country according to a new report.

The seeming bad news was conveyed by the Conference of Heads of Assisted Schools (CHASS) who asked parents to be on the alert about this development and start feeding their wards if the government continues to shirk its responsibilities.

The situation developed owing to non-payment of outstanding debt, the Buffer StockmCompany., the body that supplies food to senior high schools, is not in the position to carry on with the duty.
