Rap music is built on being braggadocious. The best rappers are able to do this well and those that can’t do it, don’t last very long.
Hip Hop is the only genre of music in which the artists’ self glorification is a main part of the art form and this has been amplified by M.I. Abaga, a Nigerian Hip Hop act.
M.I. Abaga in a new cypher The Purification: Martell Cypher 2 which is currently receiving a lot of buzz on social media stated categorically that only 2 rappers from Ghana could step up to him on their best days.
Thus, to the best knowledge M.I., he is second to none on the continent as far as rappers are concerned. He did not end there as he said dived into South Africa, Kenya and home country Nigeria.
Back to the subject matter, although M.I Abaga failed to cite Sarkodie’s name but the digression is obvious. Y’all know that no Ghanaian of sound mind can make a list of top 5 rappers without mentioning Sarkodie’s name.
