23 students donate to support John Dumelo’s campaign ahead of Ayawaso West Wuogon primaries

Some twenty-three (23) students) have donated towards the campaign of John Dumelo ahead of the Ayawaso West Wuogon primaries.

Some young ladies reportedly students from Legon, Knutsford, and UPSA have presented a cash amount of GH¢1,850 to Mr. John Dumelo for the primaries.

John Dumelo will be contesting for the second time for the NDC parliamentary candidacy for Ayawaso West Wuogon ahead of the 2024 general election. Recall that he won the primaries last three years at the constituency and matched the NPP candidate, Madam Lydia Alhassan boot for boot in the 2020 elections.

In his first attempt, John Dumelo match his opponent Mrs. Alhassan boot for boot although he lost to a marginal line. Mr. Dumelo was able to poll 37,478 votes representing 48.3% as against Mrs Alhassan’s 39,851 votes, equivalent to 51.4%.

These results from last year’s elections make Mr. Dumelo confident as he claims the coming election will be a win for him.

Talking to his Twitter page, John Dumelo disclosed the amount of money he received from the ladies while thanking his friends for the kind gesture.

“Was humbled to receive the leader of 23 ladies who contributed a total of 1,850gh towards my campaign. The ladies( who are friends) are students from Legon, Knutsford, and UPSA. I’m truly grateful. Together let’s make Awayaso West great again! #2ndcoming #JD2024″ he wrote.
