Vanguard News has reported that a 70-year-old man suspected to be a ritualist has been arrested in Akure, Ondo State, for allegedly packing human hair in large quantity at a barber’s shop.
It was gathered that the man, Micheal Omolayo was almost lynched by some irate residents of the Oke-Emesho area of Akure after he was caught in the act.
According to reports, the septuagenarian works in conjunction with a woman and another accomplice identified as Desmond who collects the human hair from barbers shops in the area.
The two accomplices gather the human hair from the shops and thereafter hand them over to the alleged ritualist. Vanguard added that tome residents of Oke-emesho reportedly sighted the woman while she was gathering the human hair and immediately raised alarm.
She reportedly confessed and led the youths and some residents to the home of the ritualist and some fetish objects were discovered there.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Deji of Akure, Mr. Michael Adeyeye, confirmed the incident and said the palace would hand over the suspect to the police.
