A-Plus descends on Michael Essien and Asamoah Gyan for shaming ‘Meet and Greet’ celebrities

Ghanaian musician turned politician A Plus has descended heavily on former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan and his former teammate Micheal Essien for trolling the celebrities who were supposed to have a ‘Meet and Greet’ with American rapper, Cardi B during her visit to Ghana.

Some Ghanaians celebrities including Moesha, Afia Schwarzenegger, Efia Odo and Sandra Ankobiah, among others who said they were invited to meet Cardi B, were left fuming after the rapper failed to show up.

Wading into the Cardi B-kebab issue, Micheal Essien and Asamoah Gyan in a live Instagram video noted that lately, people who rely on current issues to trend are given the celebrity title.

Michael further noted that all those ladies got embarrassed because they are not worth being celebrities because to become a celebrity comes with a lot and not just recording oneself talking about a trending issue.

According to A Plus, the two former Black Stars players only categorized ‘celebrity’ status to suit themselves which he thinks is not right; adding that they are not that rich to even brag about it.

A Plus explained that the term celebrity is general but not based on the amount of money one has.

He further advised the so-called celebrities with Yvonne Nelson’s tweet that urged her colleagues to know their worth and not put up themselves for humiliation.

He also touched on the fact that ‘khebab’ became the talk of the town at a time which coincides with the “Year of Return”; mainly because it will put some money in the pockets of those selling it.
