After being transferred to the University in 2003, he became the Team Starter that same season after sitting through five games. He recorded a tie with the school records of 300- yard games and the lowest percentage of passes intercepted at 1.43% in his first season.

He played in Berkeley for two years and broke the school records. In 2004, he made a Heinsman Finalist with his oppressive attack. In 2005, Aaron leave the school to play in the 2005 NFL. He was then expected to be selected by San Francisco 49ers but was chosen by the Green Bay Packers as the 24th draft in the first round of the NFL pick.
