Adele is certainly a mega star in the world and her new feat goes to prove that. The ‘Someone Like You’ singer’s album ’21’ was released in 2011 and reports say that the album has surpassed Carole King’s 1971 “Tapestry”, for time spent on the Billboard 200 by a woman.
The American music website Billboard confirms that “21” just completed it’s 319th week on the chart where King’s album spent a non-consecutive 318 weeks.
The 319 weeks translates into some 6 years on being on the chart every week since it’s debut. Billboard also says, Adele’s ’21’ is the 11th longest-charting album on the Billboard chart.
