Adulthood no be scam, you are just broke-Nigerian singer Olakira pours cold water on ‘Adulthood na scam’ anthem

Olakira has boldly said adulthood is not a scam as the new anthem on the street has been echoing.

The mantra was reinforced by fast-rising Nigerian artiste Lade whose new single ‘Adulthood Anthem’ has resonated very much with the youth.

A portion of the song which tends to be the catchy part says;

Adulthood na scam You better get am for your mind (You better know this oh) You gast to hustle, make a living 24/7 Nobody go ask if you don chop Nobody go send you free money If you no get na you sabi Adulthood na scam.

Olakira commenting on the issue, albeit not a direct repsonse to Lade’s song said it’s only those who are broke that will subscribe to this philsophy.

He posted;

Lade, real name Omolade Oyetundu is a multi-talented Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer who came to prominence as the voice behind Airtel 444 theme song.

She has an amazing vocal which has been compared to that of Teni. Lade got more exposure online for her hit single “Adulthood Anthem” which went viral on the video-sharing platform, Tik Tok.
