A man who was declared dead and a funeral held for him three years ago has stunned the inhabitants of his residence by returning ‘from the land of the dead.’

The Malawian man, Fatsani Kalimba who was suspected to have died three years ago after committing suicide was found alive in Ndalama Village in Traditional Authority Mkukula in Dowa area of the country.

According to Face of Malawi, the group Village Headman Ndalama, who confirmed the incident said Kalimba allegedly died in 2018, adding that the funeral ceremony was also conducted.

The man’s siblings confirmed that he died three years ago but he insisted he never died but instead was working in a maize mill elsewhere in Dedza.

Ndalama village has turned to a mecca of a sort as people are flocking to see the ‘resurrected’ man for themselves.

Police are yet to comment on the matter.
