The legacy left behind by Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng who’s better known as Ebony Reigns of blessed memories will take decades to be overruled by a Ghanaian female artiste all other things being equal.
Barely 3 years of doing active music, Ebony Reigns was able to silence all the male musicians not excluding the likes of Sarkodie, Shstta Wale, et Al. only if hit songs production is the yardstick.
As such, it was no surprise that majority of music enthusiasts called for Ebony’s win of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, 2018. But someway somehow, the ladies left in the music industry have failed to continue the legacy left behind by Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng for various reasons.
It’s as a result of the above-mentioned scenario that Frank Kwesi Godwin Quansah, CEO of CB records, has indirectly called out females artistes to up their game because they’ve been lazy! As a reminder, CB records are in charge of nurturing the musical talent of “Tsi Ohe” coiner, Abyna Morgan.
According to Frank Kwesi Godwin Quansah in a post on social media, he posited that “After ebony Reigns left the scene in the female music industry, none of these ladies is making any extra ordinary ?? .. Trust me @abynamorgan is the next big thing”.
The truth is, the industry is blessed with a lot of females but their enthusiasm, energy, works and vim can’t be compared to the late Ebony Reigns who was able to silence all the male musicians. Perhaps, Abyna Morgan is convinced beyond doubt that she’ll take hold of Ebony’s musical baton.
