Agya Koo Saying His Absence Killed Kumawood Doesn’t Make Sense – Akrobeto Fumes

It is clear that the Ghana movie industry is currently not doing well, it’s ‘dead’ and you don’t need a rocket scientist to convince you before you believe as a Ghanaian. Even though local movies lack the quality but that’s not enough reason for its neglect.

For in the rightful thinking of actor Kofi Adu affectionately called Agya Koo, his silence in the game caused the decline of the one-time vibrant Ghana movie industry especially Kumawood.

According to Agya Koo, his neglect was masterminded by some Kumawood producers especially Frank Fiifi Gharbin on his (Agya Koo) failure to pose naked for the camera during the shoot of the popular ‘Okomfo Anokye’ film.

But Akrobeto reacting to claims that Agya Koo’s absence was a contributing factor to the decline of the industry described Agya’s assertion as bogus! The Kumawood actor in a virtual conversation with Emcee Bebe, host of Entertainment Xtra, on Cape 93.3FM posited that;

“Look, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion whether it’s valid or invalid. I don’t agree with Agya Koo although that’s his candid opinion. In life, nobody can reign forever for everything is time bound. So, when your time is past, you’ve to understand and pave way for others to reign”.

Born Akwasi Boadi aka Akrobeto noted that there’s no way one actor or actress can be used in films forever. Therefore, it’s high time the stakeholders of Ghana movie industry put technological measures in place to revive the ailing industry and stop the blame games.
