Cape Town-born rapper AKA was born Kiernan Jarryd Forbes. In 2011, he released his first song, “Victory Lap,” from Altar Ego.
Levels (2014), Touch My Blood (2018), Bhovamania (2020), and Be Careful What You Wish For with Anatii (2020) were all highly praised albums by AKA (2017). In South African music, he was well-known.

The album was released on July 28, 2017, to favorable reviews. “10 Fingers,” “Don’t Forget To Pray,” and “Holy Mountain” were its smash songs.
Bhovamania, AKA’s EP, was released November 6, 2021. The EP’s four hit songs, “Energy,” “Python,” “Monuments,” and “Cross My Heart,” were highly embraced by fans. At the 10th South African Hip Hop Awards, AKA was nominated for Artist of the Decade.
On Instagram in early September 2022, AKA unveiled his new album Mass Country. The album’s release date is unknown, but fans are excited. The album’s first song, “Lemons [Lemonade]” starring Nasty C, was certified Gold by RiSA on September 16, 2022.
