Unlike President Akufo-Addo who is about to showcase what his government is doing to develop the region, Chairman Wontumi claims his predecessor- John Mahama recently came to the region to make noise.

“You came to the Ashanti region just to make noise. What benefit did the region get from your visit? It was only ugly noise you came here to make. President Akufo-Addo is here and would show the world what his government has done for us. We will bless him and curse you”, Chairman Wontumi said in an interview with Wontumionline.com on the difference the visit of President Akufo-Addo brings, compared to that of John Mahama.

The Director of Communications at the Jubilee House, Eugene Arhin, has said President Akufo-Addo will on Friday, October 1, 2021, begin a one-week tour of the Eastern and Ashanti Regions.

According to him, the tour would enable him to inspect and commission projects and cut sod for new ones to begin.

The tour is also to afford the President the opportunity to listen to the chiefs on their concerns and assessment of his government.
