Smooth-singing High-life artist, Akwaboah has announced that he’s gearing up for the release of his first ever rap song.

The former SarkCess Music signee took to Twitter to surprise his fans with the revelation, although he fell short of putting a timeframe on it.

I just wrote a rap verse..wait for it..

His former boss at SarkCess Music, Sarkodie simply ‘shook his head’ after coming across his tweet.

He wrote:

Rumour emerged few months ago that Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr, professionally known as Akwaboah was on his way out of SarkCess Music owned by Sarkodie.

According to sources, the only thing left was how to break the news and how the public would react, reason the official announcement was delayed.

Akwaboah later on Hitz FM was asked whether he’s still on Sarkodie’s Record label, he wasn’t emphatic as he tried to beat about the bush, a clear indication that all is not well in their camp.

He is yet to announce his exit officially although it’s a common knowledge that he’s no more under the wings of Sarkodie.

Since he’s a versatile artist and has written songs for other artists who specialize in different genres, we can’t wait for this rap verse.
