Alex Pereira, an accomplished mixed martial artist, is presently competing in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He made a stunning debut in the UFC, triumphing over Andreas Michailidis by technical knockout. Pereira was a force to be reckoned with in the kickboxing realm before joining the UFC, having won the Glory middleweight title and defending it four times.
Pereira was born on July 7, 1987, and is currently 36 years old. He is originally from Sao Bernardo do Campo, located in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and grew up alongside his sister Aline Pereira, who is also a professional kickboxer. Alex began his kickboxing career in 2009, but it was until March 2013, when he won the middleweight contender tournament and defeated Dustin Jacoby, that he rose him to the limelight. After that, he took part in various Glory middleweight tournaments, winning the middleweight title and defending it four times. Pereira also became the first fighter to hold two belts simultaneously when he won the light heavyweight title at the Glory 77 event.
Pereira made the transition from kickboxing to mixed martial arts in 2015, signing with Legacy Fighting Alliance in October 2020. He won his debut fight against Thomas Powell and joined the UFC in 2021. Since then, he has defeated Andreas Michallidis, Bruno Silva, and Sean Strickland. Currently he is ranked 5th among the best MMA middleweight fighters.

Meet Alex Pereira Sister, Aline Pereira
Aline Pereira, the younger sister of UFC middleweight fighter Alex Pereira, has been waves in the worlds of kickboxing and MMA. Aline and Alex are very close siblings who were trained by Ex UFC legend Glover Teixeira.
In 2017, Aline made her kickboxing debut against Rayane Vieira at WGP Kickboxing, and since then has built a reputation as a skilled fighter on the international kickboxing circuit, boasting a record of 6-2. However, Aline suffered her first professional loss in her third fight against Elaine Lopes at the WGP Kickboxing semi-final in May 2018.
Motivated by her brother’s triumphs in MMA, Aline chose to participate in MMA at 32 years old and made her debut in November 2022 with Legacy Fighting Alliance, the same promotion where her brother had previously fought and won. Sadly she lost the fight to Helen Peralta via decision.
