Allow Ken Ofori Atta to fix the economic problems – McDan

MacDan says Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta should mend the economy. According to McDan Group’s CEO, individuals asking for the Finance Minister’s removal should push him to turn things around and revive the economy.

He remarked that although he respects people demanding the minister’s head, they should understand why Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo nominated him.

“I respect his critics. Let Ghana’s Finance Minister handle its issues. McDan told Accra-based TV3 that the president understands why he’s holding him.

Many have called for the Minister’s removal after the country’s IMF bailout.

Prof. Baffuor Agyemang-Duah is a governance specialist and Kufuor Foundation CEO. He identified three ministers Akufo-Addo must fire.

Ken Ofori-Atta, Agric Minister Osei Akoto Afriyie, and Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu.

Prof Agyemang-Duah remarked on Joy News on August 14, 2022, that the president should change his cabinet to energize his staff.

If you listen to the ground, you’ll hear that the health sector, meaning the Minister of Health and the Minister of Agric, are important, together with the Minister of Finance.

Some ministers are unknown. They aren’t working. Others ministers seem quite fatigued, and some have health difficulties.

Prof Agyemang-Duah said, “If the President wishes to move, he may consider all these issues.”

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo praised his ministers’ performance in an interview with Tamale’s North Star radio on August 8. He said, “Many of them have done fantastic job.” I consider their output.

President Akufo-Addo said, “If the production meets expectations, I have no need to respond.”
