Alyssa Jayne Milano, the daughter of film music editor Thomas M. Milano and fashion designer and talent manager Lin Milano, was born on December 19, 1972, in the Bensonhurst neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City.

Milano’s babysitter took her to an audition for a national touring cast of “Annie” when she was 7 years old.

Without Milano’s parents’ consent, this took place. Milano successfully passed the auditions and was ultimately picked over more than 1,500 other girls for one of the four lead roles.
