Recall the ‘pure water’ hawker, Mary Daniel who became an internet sensation after photos of her busily hawking despite her handicap surfaced online prompting well-meaning Nigerians and philanthropists to come to her aid?

The 27-year old amputee has used a part of the money she got to buy a new house in the Igando area of Lagos State.

She unveiled her new home and did the house warming ceremony on Saturday, July 17, 2021, and in attendance were her family members, friends and the general public.

Mary who happens to be a single mum used to hawk bottled water in the Oshodi area of Lagos said she acquired the house with a portion of the N25 million donation she received from well-meaning Nigerians.

In the same compound of the newly acquired house, a sachet water factory is still in its building stage and she intends to have the factory named after herself.

She told The Punch in an exclusive interview that she acquired the property for 17.5 million naira, stating that she already has two tenants in the house.

Mary also disclosed that has purchased an engine and filters to begin her own sachet and bottled water production.
