Andy Ruiz reveals how he was able to defeat Anthony Joshua

Newly-crowned World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Andy Ruiz Jr. has revealed the secret behind his defeat of British-Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden on Saturday in New York.

According to Andy Ruiz, the Mexican boxer, the speed of his jabs was too much for Anthony to handle.

Speaking at a post-match press conference, Andy Ruiz Jr said: “I still can’t believe it. I am still pinching myself to see if this is real.

“But everything is possible man. Look at me, I just made history. The speed got him, (Joshua),” Ruiz said.

Anthony Joshua had hoped to make a splash in his US debut but it ended in misery for the three belts heavyweight world champion with a stunning loss to the underdog, Ruiz Jr.

Ruiz recorded a monster upset, by knocking down Britain’s Joshua four times to take the World Boxing Association, International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization titles.

Joshua needed medical attention after the bout and did not attend the post-fight news conference.
