Anlo Traditional Council Sent Delegates to Rawlings’ Funeral After Vowing Not to Be Present

The Anlo Traditional Council earlier on insisted that they would not attend the funeral of the late Jerry John Rawlings because the government had not invited them to the occasion.

The Council who vowed not to appear at the funeral rescinded their decision not to appear and sent two delegates to represent them at the State funeral organized for the late former president held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 held at the Black Star Square.

The two delegates laid a wreath after being called on behalf of the Anlo Traditional Council by Master of Ceremony.

The Avadada (Warlord) of the Anlo State, Togbe Agbesi Awusu II has said the council will also hold a funeral for the late Jerry John Rawlings. The date for the funeral is yet to be made public by the council.

He also explained that before his death, Rawlings was made a chief in the Anlo State with the stool name ‘Togbe Nutifafafia’ meaning ‘A man of peace.’
