Anthony McRae has been identified as the man who opened fire and killed three students, injuring five others on Michigan State University’s campus MSU before leading authorities on a manhunt that ended when he fatally shot himself after a confrontation with law enforcement officials in the adjacent city of Lansing.
According to Ingham County court records, Anthony McRae was charged with carrying a concealed firearm without a permit in 2019, a crime that carries a maximum five-year prison sentence.
