The erratic power supply which has been christened dumsor has raised its ugly head once again, thereby creating waves of inconvenience to Ghanaians, years after the ruling government under the tutelage of Nana Akufo Addo claimed it has been solved.
It’s against this backdrop that Joseph Yammin, the former Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports has blasted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for playing politics with the crises.
“I think the NPP attended their schools in heaven. They have a different definition from the one we went to school to study. Today they are saying we are not witnessing dumsor there is no dumsor and they have different interpretations for dumsor”, he charged.
Speaking to the Tertiary Institutions Network (TEIN) chapter of Appiah-Menakah University of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yammin shared his thoughts about the turn of events ar regards the energy crises in the country.
“Bawumia in 2016 said, we could not give credit to Mahama for solving dumsor. If Dumsor was not solved in 2016, how come that statement from Dr. Bawumia?”
He asked rhetorically “It means that Mahamadu Bawumia and NPP acknowledge that 2016 there was no dumsor”, the former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister claimed.
According to Joseph Yammin, the current intermittent power supply is not different from what was happening under the John Mahama administration indicating that it is getting worse under Akufo-Addo’s regime. “What is dumsor? Dumsor is your light goes off and comes on”, Joseph Yammin defines.
