Asamoah Gyan has vowed to deal with an impersonator who claimed he missed the infamous penalty kick as payback to his ex.

This impersonator created a Twitter account in the name of the former skipper of the Black Stars and claimed he deliberately missed the penalty in order to send shock waves to her girlfriend.

According to this faceless Twitter user, Asamoah Gyan kicked the penalty that could potentially send Ghana to the Semi-final stage of the 2010 World Cup to hit the upper post because he wanted to break the heart of his ex.

The penalty miss has somewhat cast a shadow over Asamoah Gyan’s illustrious footballing career where he helped Ghana qualify for three world cups and several AFCON tournaments…scoring 51 goals and becoming Ghana’s all-time top goalscorer.
