President Akufo Addo approves 50,000ghc for each Ghana Premier League club

 Asante Kotoko will welcome their Mauritanian opponent to the Accra Sports Stadium two weeks later.

The winner of the two-legged match will face the winner of Sudanese side Al Hilal or Ugandan side Vipers in the first round.

Kotoko’s last appearance in the Champions League was last season. The Porcupines were eliminated in the final preliminary round by Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel after bottling a two-goal advantage in the first leg.

FC Nouadhibou, founded in 1999 is the most successful football club in Mauritania, winning their top-flight league eight times.

They have emerged as champions for three consecutive seasons since 2017/18 season.

The club qualified for the group stage of the 2019-20 CAF Confederation Cup after defeating Triangle FC of Zimbabwe 4-3 on aggregate in the play-off round.
