The “General Mosquito” had no chance to bite when he entered the witness box in the Supreme Court today and was put under interrogation by NPP’s legal team member Lawyer Akoto Ampaw.

Aseidu Nketiah, the General Secretary of the NDC was in court today to serve as one of the witnesses in the 2020 election petition case as submitted by former President John Dramani Mahama.

The witnesses per the Supreme Court orders are to provide empirical evidence to the case presented by the petitioner and to clear all doubts in the minds of the judges, lawyers and the public.

When Aseidu Nketiah was called upon, everybody expected him to be at his usual best where he is able to wittily respond to questions with so much tact and accuracy. But perhaps the heat in the courtroom which was worsened by the questions from Lawyer Akoto Ampaw put him under unsolicited duress.

There was a back and forth as Lawyer Akoto Ampaw was trying to put questions to Aseidu Nketiah and present counter-questions based on his answers. Questions surrounding the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election results gave Aseidu Nketiah a hell of a time in the Supreme Court.

Lawyer Akoto Ampaw wanted to find out how Aseidu Nketiah is testifying against election results he claims are false but the same numbers were presented in the petition.
