Ashanti Region: Police arrest 5 robbers who robbed a gold dealer at Akyem Adukrom

A report by 3News reveals that five gunmen who attacked a gold dealer at Akyem Adukrom in the Ashanti region have been busted by the police.

The names of the suspects have been given as Adams Awal, Ibrahim Hamidou alias Akwesi Anokye, Inusah Moro, Nasiru Salifu and Kwadwo Amponsah are currently in Police custody.

The official Twitter page of the Ghana Police confirmed this new development in a statement which reads; “The Ashanti Regional Police Command conducted an intelligence-led operation on the Accra-Kumasi Highway leading to the arrest of five armed robbery suspects who had robbed their victim, a gold dealer of some gold at gunpoint at Akyem Adukrom.”

Meanwhile, a frustrated Ghanaian man momentarily lost his faculties and started heaping insults at Nana Akufo Addo when he came across his image embossed on a huge billboard on the street.

Ghana is presently in turmoil with the astronomical increase in prices and services suffocating the average person. In a nutshell, the prices of goods and services are soaring and thereby declining the standard of living and this has frustrated a lot of people.

The man was filmed hurling inaudible words at the President but his demeanour shows he was insulting him.

He ranted at him for minutes before he left. Ironically, the poster that has the president’s face has a message for Ghanaians which reads; “It is my job to protect you, and I am determined to do just that.”
