ATM withdrawals do not attract e-levy – Technical C’ttee member

A clarification of the forthcoming E-Levy has been provided by the a member of the Technical Committee at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Isaac Amoako.

According to him, ATM withdrawals do not attract e-levy contrary to wide claims that ATM would also attract some specific deductions.

He also said, “If you use checks no e-levy will apply.”

Mr Amoako made this revelation on the program Key Points on TV3 with host Dzifa Bampoh, Saturday April 16.

Recall that the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta earlier revealed that the implementation of the e-levy will start in May this year.

He said that is the assurance he has been given by the Controller and Accountant General (CAGD) and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), who will be the revenue collectors.
