Ghanaian Highlife artiste, Ronald Kwaku Dei, better known in showbiz circles as Bisa Kdei has sent a word of caution to upcoming artists who have the intentions of starting as a group to work as solo artists because that’s the only way they can develop their act very well.

Speaking in an interview on Joy FM, the ‘Mansa’ hitmaker noted that it’s better that way than being in a group because, with groups, there will certainly be one person who will always cause confusion and create misunderstanding.

“I would not advise anyone to be in a group. it is better to stay a solo artiste than to be in a group”, he said.

“No matter how good all of you are in the group, there will always be that one person who will bring misunderstandings especially in the aspect of money sharing,” he added.

There have been instances where popular Ghanaian music groups have gone their separate ways due to some kind of misunderstandings they couldn’t deal with internally causing the collapse of such groups.

One notable one is Praye; though they settled their differences, one can attest to the fact that they are not all that relevant in recent times.

One of the oldest music groups in Ghana WUTAH will also be a part of musical history after Wutah Kobby announced in a video that the musical is dead for good and that there isn’t even an iota of hope for reconciliation.
