After some nine months at home because of the threats posed by the coronavirus pandemic, school is set to resume for all levels of study in the country on Monday, January 18.

Final year students were allowed to resume studies, amidst strict adherence to the COVID-19 protocols put in place to curb the spread, to enable them to write their final year exams which they have since taken.

The reopening of schools for all levels at this time has been received with mixed reactions, especially at a period where the COVID-19 positive cases are said to be going up again.

In the post, the Ningo-Prampram lawmaker, Sam George said that he had arrived at the conclusion with his wife not to allow their children to go to school this time based on consultations he had with Senior Medical professionals.

According to Sam George, it would be better for his children to miss a grade than to go into the grave and so he isn’t going to allow them to go to school this Monday or anytime soon.

“After deep reflection and consultation with Senior Medical professionals, my wife and I have decided that our children would NOT be going to school on Monday or anytime soon. As said earlier, better a missed grade than a grave,” Sam George wrote on Facebook.
