American singer Beyoncé has been named the second most beautiful woman in the world by cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva.
Beyonce came second to American supermodel Bella Hadid who was declared the most beautiful woman in the world after she passed a science test that determines what constitutes the ‘perfect face’.
Using the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi; a measure of physical perfection, the 23-year-old was found to be 94.35% ‘accurate’ whiles Beyonce clocked a physical perfection of 92.44%.
The measurement starts from the forehead hairline to the spot between the eyes, then to bottom of the nose and from there to the bottom of the chin.
According to this article, Bella Hadid is the 'most beautiful woman in the world'. The fact that Beyonce's nose was the only one in the 80% range is screaming that Eurocentric features will always dominate the beauty/cosmetic industry. Beyoncé was followed by Amber Heard while Ariana Grande came in fourth and Taylor Swift was fifth.
“These brand-new computer mapping techniques allow s to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful,” De Silva said of the process.
