One of the most joyful moments an artiste coming from this part of the world(Africa) can ever have is being recognized internationally.

When one’s craft is recognized internationally, it comes with a different kind of feeling; you then know the worked hard and sleepless nights you invested in your craft haven’t gone waste.

Ghanaian artistes always dream of being nominated for the Grammys and winning; a couple of artistes have been to the BETs and have won which is a great achievement to themselves and the country.

A few days ago, Billboard presented 5 of our most-watched Ghanaian artistes with the statistics. Shatta Wale came first, Sarkodie was second and Stonebwoy, third.

Billboard is one of the most prestigious entities in the entertainment industry worldwide and for such an organization, it is expected that they feed the world with accurate facts.

According to what was posted by Billboard, Shatta Wale who was ranked the most-watched Ghanaian artiste is 20 years old and an actor. If this basic fact about Shatta Wale is wrong, how then do we believe that the latest ranking is accurate?

It is possible people make mistakes but certain mistakes can’t be condoned especially when it’s coming from a globally trusted brand.

Anyway, congratulations to the artistes who made it to the list, and we are extremely proud of them for getting international recognition; we’re only doubting if the ranking was accurate since they could not get some basic facts right.
