1, Sonnie Badu was born in the United Kingdom on November 9, in the 1970s (exact date still unknown mother, Julia Agyemang and father, Agyeman Prepmpeh.
2, Sonnie Badu barely spent his early years in the UK since his family together with he moved to settle in Accra, Ghana few years after his birth. Therefore, his memory of his early years in the UK is still faint.
3, Born into a Christian family with his father being a pastor, Sonnie Badu did not express any willingness in toeing the lines of his father as he had a great passion for football. In fact, little Sonnie was a great footballer and was looking forward to becoming a professional footballer.
4, Sonnie Badu finally decided to dedicate his entire life to the worship and service to God after he survived a fatal and chronic sickness when he turned 18 which nearly killed him. In fact, it took a miracle for him to survive and since then he decided of following God. That was when he decided to become a minister.

5, Sonnie Badu kickstarted his music in 2007 with his maiden album “Lost In Glory.” That was the beginning of his music ministry. Due to his powerful voice, he was nicknamed “The Worshipper”, “The General”, and “Apostle of Worship”.
6, Sonnie Badu’s career has spanned 10 years and through the years, he has proven to be a gospel singer with an international touch. He has realised three intentionally acclaimed albums within these years, sang with numerous artistes and received several honours.
7, Sonnie Badu has received the honorary degree from the CICA International University & Seminary (Doctorate of Divinity), became a UN Ambassador of Sacred Music, earned the key to the city of Brooklyn and did so much more.
