Bob Marley never won a Grammy; Grammys and Oscars aren’t for Africans – Nigerian man tells Genevieve

Yesterday was relatively a bad day for Genevieve Nnaji as her movie, “Lionheart” was disqualified from the Oscar race in the Best International Feature Film category.

Consequently, opinions have been divided pertaining to the unfortunate development as several school of thoughts have popped up explaining what triggered the disqualification of “Lionheart”.

Now, one Nigerian social media user has added his voice to the buzz and it’s more discerning. To the best knowledge of the Nigerian called Onye Nkuzi, Genevieve shouldn’t worry as legendary Bob Marley himself never won a Grammy. 

Simply put,awards like the Oscars and Grammys are mainly local awards for Americans, therefore, as an African, no matter your excellent works should forget being recognized.
