Ghanaian footballer and Newcastle winger, Christian Atsu according to report sighted on Ghanasoccernet has retired from the Ghana Black Stars.

From what we gathered, Christian Atsu has decided to call time on his Balck Stars future due to the “neglect over the injury that ultimately cost him his starting place at Newcastle United”.

The pacy winger who has consistently featured in Ghana Black Stars matches for the past seven years according to the report told Black Stars coach Charles Akonnor he is no longer available for selection.

This explains why he was excluded from Ghana’s squad announced by Akonnor to face Sudan in a botched 2021 Africa Cup of Nations double-header qualifier.
