#BringBackAzonto: EL responds to Sarkodie’s call for support

In our earlier post, we revealed how Sarkodie called for the support of Ghanaian rapper EL in abid to bring back the Azonto dance and genre to the media space.

Well, rapper EL has responded to Sarkodie’s tweet and has vowed to support the #BringBackAzonto campaign which he started on Twitter some moments ago.

Azonto is a dance and music genre from Ghana. The dance originated from a traditional dance called Kpanlogo, associated with the coastal towns in the country such as Chorkor, James Town, La, Teshie, Nungua and Tema, in the Greater Accra Region. (Wikipedia).

Responding to Sarkodie’s tweet, EL asked for the producer of Sarkodie’s new tune #Fahookime, Pee to send him a beat so he could ride on it and from that the second emergence of the popular Ghanaian dance will begin.
