The popular explanation for the somewhat abnormal increase for the Jubilee House’s budget allocation for2021 is that the government owes NABCO beneficiaries and need to pay arrears owed to them.

Also, there are several agencies and institutions under the supervision which demands equal funds to run effectively.

About GHS672 million is needed to pay these arrears which is why the overall 2021 budget has increased.

Meanwhile, the government has introduced some taxes and reviewed already existing taxes to augment its effort in recovering the economy for the shackles of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A move that most Ghanaians have criticized and raised objection to.
