Omah Lay has attributed his songwriting abilities to Burna Boy while labelling him as the best in the country.
The singer mentioned this when he was hosted on Pulse One on One by Motolani and Kemi Smallz on Pulse One On One.
Omah Lay asserts that he admired Burna Boy when he first moved to Port Harcourt and is aware that no other performer in the industry can compare to the Grammy winner’s songwriting prowess.
Additionally, he recalled the occasion on which he described himself as the finest composer, adding that, prior to tweeting his thoughts, he almost declared he was the second-best songwriter behind Burna Boy.
“Hahaha! Nobody comes close to me with the pen”, he had written.
Moreover, he sent the self-described African Giant a text message telling him not to take his tweet seriously.
Recall that the Afropop singer whose real name is Stanley Omah Didia touted his credentials, saying there’s no better songwriter in the Nigerian music industry than him back in March this year.
In a post which was shared on his official Twitter account on Saturday, 26th of March 2022, the singer said ‘nobody comes to him with the pen.’
He wrote; ”Hahaha! Nobody comes close to me with the pen”.
