Cape Coast: Robbers attack man in broad daylight, escape with unspecified amount of money [Video]

Four armed robbers attacked and shot a man on Coronation Street in the Central Region’s Cape Coast Metropolis, Adom News reports.

According to eyewitnesses, the victim had just withdrawn an unspecified amount of money from GCB Bank Limited in order to purchase something from the market.

However, when he arrived at a mattress store, two robbers on motorcycles approached him and demanded that he hand over the money that had been kept in a rubber bag.

Following that, the gang shot their victim in the leg and fled with the booty.

According to the traders, the robbers fired warning shots until they were out of sight before fleeing the scene.

“We were working in our stores when we heard a loud bang. We even thought it was a car tyre that had burst, only to find out it was a robbery in broad daylight.

“They shot the man in the leg, and as they were leaving, they were firing indiscriminately in the air, so we all ran away,” an eyewitness said.
