Rapper and singer Captain Planet has clarified why Ghanaian musicians are routinely disregarded for the Grammy Awards, claiming that it is obvious that their works do not fulfil the requirements to be considered for the esteemed honour.
Ghanaians are disappointed by the lack of representation, which has prompted a rush of thoughts on social media following the nominations’ recent publication.
The discussion over the caliber of music made in Ghana is further fueled by the fact that Nigerians continue to win the majority of the accolades. Captain Planet posted on the X platform, which was once known as Twitter and said; “E be like the kind of songs we dey do for Ghana here dierr the Grammy people no like.”
