She competed in the Miss Universe 2019 competition as Miss USA and placed in the top ten.

Cheslie Kryst worked as a correspondent for Extra from October 2019 till her passing.

She was also an attorney.

She received two Daytime Emmy nominations for her work on Extra.

Kryst was born on April 28, 1991, to a Polish-American father and an African-American mother in Jackson, Michigan.

When she was a little child, the family relocated from Michigan to Charlotte, North Carolina, and eventually made their home in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where Kryst went to Northwestern High School.

Kryst relocated to Columbia, South Carolina, after finishing high school in order to enrol in the Honors College at the University of South Carolina.

She earned a degree in marketing and human resource management from the Darla Moore School of Business in 2013, while also participating in mock trials, the Gamecocks women’s track and field team, and the Alpha Lambda Delta honour society.

Cheslie Kryst enrolled in Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina after completing her undergraduate studies, and she earned both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration there in 2017.

Among the things the young woman had done was practice law after graduating and 2019 saw her compete in various pageants.

She ultimately represented North Carolina at the Miss USA 2019 competition, a competition she won.

Television Career

With her beauty, it is irresistible not to have her be part of your television team.

This culminated in Cheslie Kryst joining Extra in September as a special correspondent before joining as a New York correspondent in October.

She conducted an interview with actor Terrence Howard, who revealed for the first time that he intended to stop performing after the Empire television series’ final season.

Due to her work as a New York correspondent for Extra, Kryst was nominated for the Outstanding Entertainment News Program at the 47th Daytime Emmy Awards in 2020.

The 48th Daytime Emmy Awards saw her nominated for the same prize once more.

Kryst lived in The Orion, a 60-story high-rise apartment building in Midtown Manhattan, and leaped to her death there on January 30, 2022.

She was reportedly last seen on the 29th floor.

The coroner declared her death to be a suicide on January 31.

In a statement, Kryst’s mother April Simpkins said that her daughter had experienced “high-functioning depression.”
