Coaches don’t make any significant impact in Kokoko & Hearts matches; it’s all about juju, players and supporters – Francis Akwaffo, ex-Kotoko player

Although some may disagree that superstition has no role to play in football, ardent followers and players of Ghana Premier League clubs Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko know it takes more than just playing to win.

Sometimes the rule of form guide is defied because football is not just the physical play. This perception has been reiterated by Francis Akwaffo, former Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC that matches between them and their rivals Accra Hearts of Oak is determined by black magic or ‘Juju’, the players as well as the chanting fans.

Speaking exclusively to Fante Quoo of Inside Prime Page, Francis Akwaffo who’s otherwise known as Totti stated clearly that Juju plays a major role in football although he’s not a practitioner of it. He added that even Kotoko jerseys are more spiritual behind the scenes.
