Up & Coming Actresses Should Learn From Martha Ankomah – Timothy Bentum

Ghanaian movie directors have been accused over the years for trading their job with sex. Thus, most movie directors will only give roles when sex is arranged. On the contrary, Timothy Bentum, renowned Ghanaian actor, is accusing these up and coming actresses of ‘sex for roles’ in the Ghanaian movie industry labeling the directors as innocent.

According to the actor, most of the ladies who’re yearning to enter into acting don’t have the talent but they’re just desperate to become popular within a twinkle of an eye, therefore, anything goes. Whatever the case, he applauded actress Martha Ankomah for not going that low as compared to some of her counterparts. He revealed that Martha Ankomah, has never slept with any director in this industry.

The popular actor insisted that Martha Ankomah demonstrated to the world what she can do, therefore she did not go about offering sex just to be in the limelight.

“Believe in God and what you can do as a person, keep at it and show the world what you can do. Stay in your corner and at the right time, they will need you and pick you up. If you sleep with all the crew members and you still haven’t mastered your craft, then you will rise to that level but in no time you will die out”, he advised.

He continued that, the root cause of ‘sex for roles’ in our movie industry is the result of desperation the has set in the life of these ‘hopeful’ young actresses. To curb this malice, they should nurture their talent and learn on the job like Martha Ankomah so that they won’t fall prey to the directors.
