Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has urged Former President Mahama to confess the wrongs of his government that thwarted his presidential fortunes in 2016 and compelled Ghanaians to vote him out.
According to the Asantehene, the NDC flagbearer needs to eat the humble pie and accept that his government was inundated with so many unacceptable episodes of events that did and still does not sit well with Ghanaians.
Therefore, Mahama was urged to publicly accept the flaws that were in his government with remorse and then tell Ghanaians what he will be looking forward to doing to clean the mess should Ghanaians vote him to power on December 7.
“Today I have seen all my grand children that I haven’t seen in a while.
“You have brought all of them here today to come and see me. But you don’t have to only visit me when you are in government. You also have to visit me when you are out of government.”
“Tell Ghanaians the wrongs of the past and how you will correct those wrongs,” the Asantehene told the former President.
Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II made this hard truth known when a delegation from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by former President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday visited the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi to introduce Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman, running mate of the NDC for Election 2020.
