While talks with the government continue, President Nana Akufo-Addo has urged the country’s striking teachers to return to the classroom.

The President urged instructors to keep in mind the upcoming Junior High School BECE, which must be taken by pupils in their third year.

As a result of persistent labour unrest in the education sector, the President has issued a call to action.

Due to their terrible working conditions and stagnating pay, four teacher unions have been on strike for the last week.

Instructors are asking for a cost-of-living stipend because of deteriorating economic circumstances, according to the teachers.

For the benefit of the pupils, the President pleaded with the faculty to rethink their choice.

In addition, he advised civilians to put up with the government’s turbulence during the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the smothering of covid-19.
