The President Of Ghana’s West African neighbours Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has hailed Ghana for the overly successful 2020 polls that saw the ruling government retain power.

The elections organized on December 7, concluded with not so many violent acts reported at polling stations across the country.

The result of the polls was declared two days later on December 9, in favour of the ruling party to go for another term; the main opposition power has since rejected the results declared by the EC as they regard the election as a flawed one ad thereby refused to accept or concede defeat.

Muhammadu Buhari took to Twitter to congratulate the president-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on his re-election, adding that the successful election is further proof that democracy has indeed come to stay in West Africa.
