Damar Hamlin was raised in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. He attended Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was named first-team All-State and the Class AAAA Defensive Player of the Year.
Hamlin was chosen by the Buffalo Bills as the 212th overall choice in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
