One of the co-founders of Dave & Buster’s restaurant franchise, James “Buster” Corley, has died.
Corleys’ death was verified by a D&B spokesperson, who told TMZ that he would be remembered as “an original and creative force” with a “pioneering spirit.”
Cops claim they were called to a residence in Dallas, Texas, on Monday, James’ birthday, and found a guy with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
D&B’s representative adds “Buster’s enthusiasm for hospitality, drive for perfection, and genuine concern for his team members were unrivaled. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time, and although we will miss his wise advise and easy chuckle, the legacy he and Dave established will live on.”
Who is David Corriveau
James and his business partner David Corriveau founded the first Dave & Buster’s in Dallas in 1982, with Dave winning a coin toss to get his name first.
