Davido’s ‘Fall’ Becomes First Afrobeats Music Video to Hit 200m Views On YouTube, See His Epic Reaction

Davido has etched his name into the history book as he becomes the first artiste to have an Afrobeat song hit 200m views on YouTube.

He achieved the feat with his 2017 song, ‘Fall’ which one of the biggest songs in that year and beyond across Africa.

The ace singer has reacted to the new milestone via his official Twitter account, giving a back story on how it was recorded. He thanked his fans for bringing him thus far.

”…. I remember me and @kiddominant making this record as a joke … well this ain’t nothing to laugh at! @flexgoddaps. God is good and thanks to all of you for supporting me ever since m the start. I appreciate every single one of you.”

 

YouTube is an American online video-sharing platform headquartered in San Bruno, California. The service, created in February 2005 by three former PayPal employees—Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim—was bought by Google in November 2006 for US$1.65 billion and now operates as one of the company’s subsidiaries.
